Nicktoons' Exec
Apr 8, 1998

Fred Seibert, the new executive producer at Nicktoons Animation Studio in Burbank CA/US is not new to Nickelodeon. The new position marks his return to working for MTV Networks (parent company of Nickelodeon), following five years as president of Hanna-Barbera Cartoons.

At Hanna-Barbera, Seibert launched the most extensive animated shorts program of the last 30 years, which ultimately developed four series, an Oscar nomination, three prime time Emmy nominations, 15 Annie nominations and the Annie for Best Short for the last two years.

Prior to joining Hanna-Barbera, Seibert ran Fred/Alan Inc., a boutique advertising agency that consulted and produced for a wide range of networks, including CBS, Cinemax, Showtime, TBS, A&E, Lifetime - and most significantly, the MTV Networks - VH1, Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite and MTV: Music Television.

Prior to forming his own agency, Seibert was a member of the original team that launched MTV: Music Television. In that role, he developed the animated, ever-changing MTV logo, the "look" of the network ID's and the spirit of the network's promotion, which have all been largely responsible for defining and branding the network. At Fred/Alan Inc., Seibert presided over the redesign of the look and repositioning of Nickelodeon as well as the development and launch of Nick at Nite.
